Charles E. Bennett students are busy helping out at a fundraising concert to benefit the opening of The Vinyard in Green Cove Springs, a homeless shelter. More events will be coming. A concert is scheduled for September 30th at the Methodist Church on Walnut Street.
The 2016 - 2017 Title I Parent Survey will be available online May 1st - 12, 2017. This survey is open to all parents/guardians of children currently attending a Clay County Title I School. We would love your insight and suggestions when it comes to helping Title I and your school. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Charles E. Bennett has been selected by the state to have a slightly longer school day, beginning with our first day of school. Our new school hours will start at 8:20am, and end at 2:50pm each day. Please contact Principal Shelley Lester if you need any additional information.

Upcoming 7th graders should choose one of these books as part of their summer reading.
SSYRA titles for grades 3-5 as well as grades 6-8 have been released. Each year, a committee meets to find the best books for our Florida's students. These books promise to be engaging, challenging, and enjoyable for our state's young readers. These books will be available in both hard cover and paperback when we return to school in August. Can't wait? Keep checking our Destiny site. Many of them will be available as eBooks later in the summer. This year's selection looks like it contains some awesome titles.

Florida law requies that all students get a Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussing vaccination prior to entering 7th grade. This vaccination is commonly referred to as a Tdap vaccine. Please note that this will apply only to those sixth grade students who will be entering 7th grade in the fall.
